Condition monitoring utilizing electrostatic microsensors

The condition monitoring sensor measures the concentration of a homogeneous binary mixture containing ethanol and water. The microsensor consists of interdigital electrodes and thus is considered as a planar capacitor. By evaluating the permittivity of the liquid dielectric, the concentration of the mixture is determined.
