OptoNet - Photonics Network Thuringia

OptoNet represents the interests of about 100 companies, research and educational organizations, investment companies as well as public institutions in the field of Photonics.

Initiative Erfurter Kreuz e.V.

The aim of the association’s activities is to promote the economy of the region around the industrial zone “Erfurter Kreuz”. This involves, in particular, developing the Erfurter Kreuz to a nationally and internationally recognized region of the Thuringian economy.

IMAPS Deutschland e.V.

The “International Microelectronics and Packaging Society” (IMAPS) is a forum for all who deal with microelectronics.

Originally emerged from thick-film and thin film circuits, the field of activity of IMAPS now includes the entire field of microelectronics, including packaging. Alongside traditional hybrid technologies it now includes Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Chip on Board (COB), application-specific circuits (ASIC), multi-chip modules (MCM), mechatronic components, microsystems, power hybrids, sensors and optoelectronic components.

MNI e.V.

5microns supports the work of the non-profit development association for Micro- and Nanotechnologies in Ilmenau. On a honorary basis, the members promote the work of the Institute for Micro- and Nanotechnologies (IMN MacroNano®) at the Technische Universität Ilmenau in the fields of science, research and academic teaching. 5microns especially focuses on technology transfer, the encouragement of young academics as well as the lively exchange with economists, politicians and interested people.
